Steps to Save a Document as a .pdf.

1. Open the document and go File to Print.
2. In the print window on the bottom left you will see a PDF.
3. Click on the drop down arrow and select Save as PDF.
4. In the next window you can re-name your document and choose where to save.
5. Click Save.

Possibilities When Opening a pdf in Preview.

1. You can combine multiple pdfs into one. Open one of the pdfs. Show the Sidebar, drag the other pdfs into the sidebar.
2. Pages in a pdf can be deleted, just select the page and go to Edit to Delete Selected Page.
3. You can add a new blank page to your pdf. Go to Edit to Insert New Page.
4. If your page is horizontal and you want it vertical, go to Tools to Rotate Left or Rotate Right.
5. A pdf's file size can be reduced without changing the appearance of the pdf or jpg. Open the file, go to Save As. In the drop down menu
next to Quartz Filter choose Reduce File Size
6. You can highlight, select and copy text in your pdf. You can then paste it into a word processing document and edit it.
